Then you apply per-regime historical tendencies: panic regimes routinely produce -30% episodes and violent snapbacks; calm regimes rarely deliver big threshold hits; hangovers compress rallies. If clues are absent, you assume neutral regime and lower confidence instead of inventing drama.
